Fo Guang Shan temple of Toronto under the guidance of Abbess Venerable Yung Ku and Venerable Miao Mu provide facilities and administration to the 6th Meadowvale Buddha’s Light Scout Group.
The Temple occupies approximately two acres of land with close to 50,000 square feet of usable space. The Temple is designed to incorporate elements of both Eastern and Western culture as well as the traditional and modern teachings of Humanistic Buddhism.
BLIA was officially founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1992 in Los Angeles to further realize his goal of transcending all national boundaries, propagating Buddhism to the multitude, offering more opportunities to devotees to participate in Buddhist activities, purifying the human mind and creating the Pure Land on earth.
